Use the case number and court name whenever they are known. The appropriate route depends on the record sought:
- A docket sheet: use the statewide public search route or request it from the responsible clerk
- A court date or setting: check the Court Schedule, then confirm an important setting with the clerk
- Certified copies: order from the clerk of court, who is the keeper of the docket and the official record
- A specific case: use Docket Search by party name or exact case number
- Court records and case files: review Court Case Records, then contact the court that heard the matter
